Q. |
Who or what company runs Bali-Tours.com? Does it have the required license for the tourism industry in Indonesia? |
|
|
Bali-Tours.com is operated by PT. Abadi Bali Wisata, a 100% foreign-owned company from Japan. Based in Bali, Indonesia, we are a local, fully licensed (Lic. No. 35/V/PMA/2001) travel agent and a member of ASITA (Association of the Indonesian Tours and Travel Agencies) and PATA (Pacific and Asia Travel Association). The website is designed for those overseas travelers who wish to get better deals on vacations, which are usually not available unless the booking is made in Indonesia. Many online travel agents are not legal by law. They offer low prices to attract customers while not licensed to operate and participate in the tourism industry. As it is against the law, your customer rights may not be protected when dealing with such agents. Please check beforehand to minimize your own risks. |
| Q. |
What are the advantages of choosing the hotel Special Packages over individual hotel nights? |
|
|
For example, if you and a friend stay at Komaneka Ubud
for 2 nights/3 days, you will be charged USD 185 x 2 = USD 390 (Pool villa).
Add breakfast for two (USD 10/person), airport transfers (USD 30), and late
check out (USD 92.50, 50% room rate), the total is USD 532.50.
However, when you book the Special Package
(SP35) you only pay USD 400, a savings of 33%! (^_^) |

Q. |
Do you accept payments in other currencies? |

| Q. | Is it true that we should be careful when exchanging money at the money changer? |
|
A. . |
It has been recorded in some guidebooks about money changers in Bali, especially the ones in Kuta and Legian. They offer really attractive rates with no commission but they actually use a special calculator to come up with a false amount. Additionally, they may on purpose give you Indonesian Rupiahs in small denominations, making it difficult to count them. Make sure you receive the correct amount as they do not accept any claim after you left the counter. |
| Q. | Should I change my money in my country or in Bali (Indonesia)? |
|
A. |
Generally, it is better to change your money in Indonesia. You have more places to shop for the best rate. The best rate for you is usually in this order: 1. Local money changer. 2. Money changer at Ngurah Rai International airport (Bali). 3. Money changer at Sukarno-Hatta International airport (Jakarta). 4. Your local bank. |
| Q. | Do you have recommendations as to good money changers in Bali? |
